No Powerlines

21 Feb

Tonight I noticed a couple of visitors in the back yard.  I quietly headed out the front door and peeped around the side of the house.  One cute wallaby.

This was just on sundown so of course the sunset then captured my attention.  Best of all I was able to use lightroom to remove the powerlines.

Just as I grabbed my camera for tonights amazing sunset I looked our the back door and saw this little chap visiting.  He was only about 5 metres away.

I was then distracted by the intense colours in tonights sunset.

Last my faithful companion.  When I’m out walking around she follows me.  Down to the letter box for a 100 metre stroll, up to the clothesline wherever I go, when she is in the mood for it, she follows me like a dog would.  This is Buttons, she is 11 years old.

We have Wallabies

3 Jan

One of the first photos I wanted to capture with my new camera was one of the wallabies that inhabit our yard.  Much to my chagrin the wallabies have become camera shy.   Today has been a warm one and as I went out to water my garden this evening there was a wallaby right at the front door.

I quietly headed back inside, retrieved my camera and started shooting.   As I looked around, I found there were two more.  One was too skittish and I wasn’t quick enough, but this one stood up and watched as I clicked happily away.
